Tennessee Rand Automation has expanded its facilities to accommodate its growing business ventures. Business has been booming for TRA, and now they have much needed room to expand their operations in the former Standard Iron complex located in Red Bank.
Already situated in two buildings in Chattanooga and with an office in Prague, Czech Republic, TRA was fortunate to acquire a new building directly adjacent to their existing Chattanooga locations. The combined space gives TRA more room than any other integrator in the area, vastly surpassing TRA's own in-town competition.
The Standard Iron facilities are a near ideal acquisition for TRA with infrastructure already in place to quickly establish a manufacturing facility and several acres further to expand operations in the future.
TRA's immediate plans are to renovate the primary Standard Iron facility for the manufacture of new robotic systems and tube benders. TRA will maintain machining, engineering, and stock in its existing buildings. Dedicating the new space to systems integration will allow TRA to support many times more business than its current facilities allowed. The expansion came just in time, as several new orders have been booked which will benefit greatly from the added space.
