Established in 1997, Tennessee Rand Automation began by supporting local machine builders with our controls expertise. As business and demand quickly grew, TRA soon began offering turnkey, automated systems including tube benders, robotic weld cells, assembly lines, and custom machines.
Today, TRA employs a full staff of mechanical and electrical engineers, software developers, machinists, electricians, robot programmers, and skilled assembly personnel. Our wide range of in-house expertise allows TRA to tackle all types and sizes of projects from small tooling to large multi-robot integrated systems and production lines.
As our customers set higher and more demanding goals, TRA developed the tools to achieve those goals. Our flagship product, the OI-15 Human-Machine Interface sets the standard for HMIs in several first tier automotive plants around the world. TRA’s Weld Monitor ensures that several of the automotive components used today are manufactured consistently and safely. Designed by years of experience, our toggle clamps, made from the highest quality materials available, set the standard for reliability. Our micro-terminals are the key to intelligent and flexible tooling.
In 2007, TRA acquired a third facility, adjacent to our existing Chattanooga site. With the extra floor space, TRA has room to continue designing and producing cutting edge tools for robotic integration.
